ISO AKEEM ALI Independent Artist of the Month
Akeem Ali is our Independent Artist of the Month. Your probably familiar with the artist from being on Eighty Vibe by the 85 South Show. He performed his song Keemy Casanova, a song with a 70’s inspired groove. Akeem describes his overall sound as being inspired by Mississippi. Accompanied by a video, Keamy Casanova is literally one of the biggest song of the past few weeks.

Before Keamy Casanova caught the world’s attention I had a chance to see Akeem Ali perform at The Burgundy Club in Atl. He was clearly a focused artist, that seemed to pay a lot of attention to his stage performance and presence. Around this time the Akeem was performing a song called Indian Giver, which if you have the time should check out. Impressed by his stage performance, I invited him to be on the The WORLDPEACE PODCAST and he was cool enough to except.
Akeem Thomas is one of most creative artist that I’ve seen on the indie grind. The man can rap really well and makes it look really easy. He has a clear focus on his vision and his content. Most importantly all of these attributes can be noticed fairly quickly.

I can say first hand, Akeem Ali’s success was not overnight. He’s been working hard and it seems like the time was just right for this Artist. He has seem to create and dive all the way in the Casanova brand. He released a Casanova Christmas video of Akeem receiving gifts from all of his…women. It’s things like this that you have to admire and salute.
