ISO INDEPENDENT ARTIST OF THE MONTH SiMaya
North Carolina’s got talent. I have had the pleasure of finding that out throughout publishing this magazine. Simaya a North Carolina native is our ISO-independent Artist of the Month. Simaya recently released the candid project Leave A Message back in December. The project features some of my favorite songs from any R&B artist in a while. Songs like N.E.W.S. and Yak are the ones in my opinion that I could hear on the radio.
I remember seeing Simaya performing at Playlist Academy a few years back. The playlist Academy has provided a place for artists to develop their skills with music and with business. Simaya stood out as an artist knowing how to create a record. She showed that with her song Yak.
My favorite song from Simaya isn’t on her latest project Leave A Message. It’s actually from a different project that has been taken down from streaming platforms I think. Luckily someone on Siymaya’s team put the song back up. it’s called Pressure. It’s unbelievably catchy with stunning production and writing Pressure is one of my favorite songs I’ve heard in a while.
