Method Man VS Redman
One of the best performances I’ve ever seen was at Rock the Bell in New Jersey maybe around 2012. Rock The Bells used to do amazing festivals with some of the most legendary hip-hop artists of all time. This particular year there were performances by J.cole, DMX, Raekwon, Cam’ron, and Method Man & Redman. Seeing one of your favorite acts perform live is always exciting. Seeing a legendary duo perform at a festival is a whole other thing.
“Meth and Red are literally hip-hops Cheech and Chong”
Look at the list of people they were following. They’re not cheap artists or even easy artists to follow. For Method Man and Redman it just seemed like they were in sync they’re entire set performing classic songs like How High. I think what really made their set great was how much energy they had throughout the entire show. I honestly believe that they may be hip-hop’s best performers.
Meth and Red are literally hip-hops Cheech and Chong. Outside of their legendary and respectable music careers, they’re legends in cinema. In the late 90’ the two rappers starred in a cult classic movie that changed the weed culture forever. The movie was called How High and is certainly a classic must-see movie if you haven’t you might lose your black card. I’m not joking.
Meth and Red have songs with B.I.G. and 2pac. Method Man is the face of one of the most iconic groups in the world. He’s highly respected by his peers and still has the skills to rap with Conway The Machine. Redman is New Jersey legend. He is respected by some of the sharpest rappers of all time like Royce Da 5’9” and Eminem. His classic album Muddy Waters is a staple in Hip Hop History!
