In 2017, Freddie Drops You Only Live Twice. This was an album written during trying times. He was looking at charges for sexual assault in Austria. All charges were dropped. One classic sequel to a Madlib album (where he gets Thought back) and a Album with Curren$y later, Gibbs is back in stride releasing an album with alchemist which will probably be talked about in rap album of the year convo (again). It’s hard to Debate against with songs like Baby $hit (hey Doja Cat) and Scottie Beam (hey Scottie Beam). Not to mention features from Rick Ross, Benny The Butcher, and Tyler The Creator.

Hello my loves, and welcome back to another movie review with “The Scope.” This month, I will be reviewing the action film “Cut Throat City”, directed by RZA. I am super excited to give my review on this movie because I enjoyed this film a lot. So, I’ll do my very best to not give any spoilers.
Cut Throat City features a handful of popular actors such as Shameik Moore, casted as the main role of “Blink”, T.I., as “Lorenzo ‘Cousin’”, Terrance Howard, as “The Saint”, and many many more. So, with that being said, you already know the acting is on point. You just may want to tune in and see which one of your favs will grace your TV screen.

Brooklyn’s own Angela Yee. The determined radio personality turned entrepreneur. She’s probably most known for being a Radio Hall of Famer the Breakfast Club. She started on the Breakfast Club in 2010 but that’s not where her story started. Angela Yee is a legend that paid her dues interning for The Wu-Tang Clan. She has amazing stories about the time she spent working for the Legendary group. I think she even stated that she learned how to play chess from RZA.

Alchemist seems to have already received his flowers. He recently got nominated for a grammy for the album Alfredo. The album, is a collaborative effort with Freddie Gibbs. The album charted at number 12 on billboard and is up for rap album of the year. Alchemist is known for his sample-heavy production, unique collaboration projects and instrumental albums. He has worked with numerous artist, but this year I think he really made some timeless music.

“Quit playin’ I send Armani through”. Personally, Armani is one of my favorite rappers right now. She released The Liz in 2020. The album from Grisleda’s Queen-pin rapper was of the same quality as previous Griselda albums. Hearing this kind of music from a woman's perspective is exciting.
