Pros & Cons:
Pros: This project lets us know Jay Loud is a rising star in the R&B genre. On this EP he sings about different topics keeping his content versatile, interesting, and relatable. The production on the tape is at a very high level and blends perfectly with Jay Loud’s trap-soul inspired sound and uses it to convey his lyrics expertly.
Cons: The first half of the EP seems to be the attention grabber while the remaining songs linger as good late night driving music. Jay seems to be conservative with his singing voice on this project, but we would love to hear some more vocal acrobatics as he gets more comfortable with his R&B side. Considering everything the project is well developed and leaves us eager to see what more Jay Loud has in store for us.
