Pros & Cons:
Pros: Rod Wave’s album Soulfly is Rod doing what he does best! It’s his story telling of hard times, relationships lost, and handling fame delivered in his recognizable and sometimes chilling singing voice that keeps us tuning in for more. The album is full of memorable hooks and flows that you will find yourself humming hours after a listen.Â
Cons: The only downsides we discovered on the album were all connected to the idea that the album felt long for 19 songs. Whether that be because the album was top-heavy with a lot of early fan favorites coming and going before the halfway point. Or that a lot of the second half songs blended together due to the theme of the songs being similar causing them to feel more like filler than the album worthy cuts he intended them to be. Despite that Soulfly will be in our rotation for a long while.
