Pros & Cons:
Pros: Rot Ken introduced himself as an encyclopedia of melodies on his debut project. Staying away from the common trap beats we hear from most GA artists, the production on this album is refreshing and leaves plenty of room for Rot Ken to sing and rap circles around them. Ken’s tone and effortless transition between rapping and singing allows him to stand out with his sound and leaves us stuck with his hooks and lyrics randomly popping up in our head. In it’s completeness this tape is a good listen and we look forward to hearing more from Rot Ken in the future.
Cons: The length of the songs is one downside to the album. Most of the songs don’t run longer than 150 seconds, which seems like a bad decision when it feels like Ken is just getting into his bag on the tracks and has a lot more to say. Another negative point on a stellar tape is that even though Ken’s delivery and the way he raps and sings on the songs are one of the biggest appeals to Ken, it is noticeable that sometimes it is hard to make out what he said. Which could be frustrating when trying to learn the lyrics and sing along with Ken at the top of your lungs.
