Pros & Cons:
Pros: YJRB is unapologetically himself in Welcome to the Corner. Through his clever lines and interesting storytelling we get a peek into YJRB’s mind and what makes him stand out. The production on this project is outstanding and it is clear YJRB took no shortcuts to create an album-spanning vibe. Out of the 13 tracks on the tape, more than half include a featured artist. However, YJRB did an excellent job bringing each feature into his world and allowing them to create alongside him. No feature seems out of place or hinders the song.
Cons: One eye-catching con to the album is the numerous moments where it seems YJRB is attempting to force lines to fit. These moments take away from the songs and have you wondering how were these almost off beat moments not caught in the mixing or mastering. Once YJRB corrects this cadence/lyric-spacing issue he will be ready to be a next level artist!
