The album from Grisleda’s Queen-pin rapper was of the same quality as previous Griselda albums. Hearing this kind of music from a woman's perspective is exciting. Check out The Nerve of You.

BIG LATTO! What a year Mulatto has been having. From reality show to Hip-hop superstar. What’s carried Mulatto to such heights? In my opinion, her confidence. She dropped Queen of the Souf in 2020. The album shows she’s here to stay as well as earn her spot. I can honestly say I’m excited about her future in Hip Hop.

For this month's Flowers, I wanted to try something a little different. wanted to focus on a classic album. In 2012 before Top Dawg Entertainment was the machine that it is today, they were still building their base nationally. TDE has always put out excellent projects. There’s something special about the control system though.

There are some artists that when you dig into their mixtape catalog it's a different kind of conversation. Fabolous is one of those kinds of artists. Soul Tapes as entire series was celebrated but it was also in demand. Every year around November Fabolous fans would anticipate another addition to the Soul Tape series. I wanted to take a deep dive into why that was.
By 2011, Fab wasn’t an underground artist. He wasn’t on the come-up. He had already dropped numerous albums and been on multiple record labels at the time. Still, being a vet in the game and still working on creating his own legacy he released the first Soul Tape. The mixtape featured original music as well as remixes of current hits. Fabolous is known in hip hop for his punch lines in witty wordplay. Sometimes when artists rap over beats that are from other rappers they own. It’s almost like whoever has the best verse on the song owns the song to the public. An example of that to me would be Phone Numbers which is originally a Wiz Khalifa song. The way Fabolous sounds on the song though, he makes it his own. He brought the sound back to Brooklyn back to New York.
